Super Hero of the Week
All week long you'll be given the "Super" treatment. You just have a little bit of work to get ready to be our Super Hero of the Week. Here's the scoop on your special week. You will be taking home a tote bag on Friday to fill with the special items to share with your classmates and a poster to complete.
Monday - Sharing Day: Bring up to 6 photos to share and display on your bulletin board. You are also to bring in 3 items to share with the class that tells more about your hobbies or interests. and remember to bring your poster. Tuesday - Bring in your favorite book to read aloud to the class. If your favorite book is a chapter book, be ready to tell the class what you like about the story. (5 minutes) Wednesday - Bring in Parent Letter - Parents will write a letter to the class telling us how special their "Super Hero" is to them. Parents will send the letter in a sealed envelope to school and I will read the letter to the class in our Morning Meeting. The content is up to your parents, but they may want to choose from one of the following ideas: 1) describe a funny story about you for the class to hear, 2) write a silly or serious poem, 3) tell us some neat things we may not know about you, 4) send a special or silly picture with a letter describing the pictures. Have Fun Parents! Thursday - A parent, grandparent, or other relative can join you for lunch. If Thursday is not a good day, any other day will do! I will join you for lunch if family members are working and you can invite two of your friends. Third grade lunch is from 11:50- 12:35. Friday - You will be given a certificate to remind you of your special week. I am looking forward to learning more about you! |
